About us

Welcome to Fishsafe

If you like being outdoors and surrounded by nature, fishing may be the perfect hobby to adopt. It requires minimal investment in terms of gear, and we can tell you from first-hand experience that it’s very fun and rewarding.

You get to sit, unwind, and leave the worries of work behind while reeling in fish and connecting with nature.

Honestly, angling has brought us great joy and innumerable friendships, and we hope it can do the same for you. If you’re new to fishing and need some beginner tips, look no further than this site.

Who Are We?

As anglers with over ten years of fishing experience, we believe anyone at any age can head outdoors and take up trawling as a hobby. After all, this passion has brought us together to create this website, even though we all come from different parts of the world and have different interests.

Angling may seem complicated at first, but honestly, you can get going with just a reel and some bait plus a license.

Whether it’s gear selection, fishing etiquette, or basic skills like tying knots, we’ll cover them all here to help you set off on your angling trip with the least amount of stress possible.

Based on our experience in teaching friends, families, and kids how to fish, it shouldn’t take long before you’re ready to head to a dock or river.

Editorial Standards

Over the years, we have tried many types of fishing gear, including those ranging from budget-friendly to expensive. We’re aware of just how important quality equipment is to a pleasant fishing trip, and we’d like to help you narrow down your own essential toolkit.

The products recommended on this site have all been reviewed and tested by us. We also look at feedback from other consumers to get an idea of a manufacturer’s quality control and consistency in delivering their promises.

Above all, we value attributes like ease of use, durability, adaptability, and materials. Our team picks products that work for different groups of people, such as beginner and experienced hobbyists, hands-only versus equipment-using anglers, and saltwater versus freshwater fishermen.

With our combined decades of experience, we aim to give you objective assessments of different fishing gear through real-life testing. Cost is also something we take into account, as people have varying budgets to work with while building their angling kit.

The advantages and disadvantages of each option are also listed, so you can weigh them against your requirements while shopping.

Mission Statement

We are committed to giving our readers helpful information they can apply when going fishing. Aside from having fun and staying safe while angling, we also believe in the importance of preserving the environment that allows us to do what we love in the first place.

If you’re interested in sustainable fishing, stay tuned for our articles on safe practices like catch and release, seabird protection while casting, and how to avoid hooking and endangering marine animals with fishing equipment.

Conclusion

This website aims to help hobbyists everywhere with their quest of becoming a better angler. Whether you’re new to or experienced with fishing, we hope you find something here that makes your hobby less tiring and more relaxing.
